Bishop Kwofie inaugurates Grotto
Most Rev. John Bonaventure Kwofie CSSp, Bishop of Sekondi-Takoradi Diocese, recently inaugurated the Mother Mary Grotto at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Adiembra, with a call on Catholics to study and treasure their faith and Doctrines.
He stressed the need for the faithful to seek and discover the unparalleled richness of the Catholic tradition.
He stated that some Pentecostal and Charismatic Churches were discovering the usefulness of praying the Rosary, using liturgical vestments and vessels, reception of communion, among others, entreating Catholics to be proud of their faith.
Bishop Kwofie encouraged Catholics to participate fully in the celebration of the Eucharist, Marian Devotions, Devotions to the Saints and the Divine Mercy, pray the Rosary and embark on pilgrimage to Marian Shrines or Grottos to obtain blessings.
Present were the Parish Priest, Very Rev. Fr. James Margaret Messu, Diocesan Priests’ Personnel; Rev. Fr. Francis Baffoe Davis, Director of Vocations and the Parish Pastoral Council.
